Why is it important to pray?

God, our loving Heavenly Father, wants us to communicate with Him through prayer. He always listens to us when we pray.

Daily prayer can bless you, your family, and those you pray for. It can also invite more peace into your life, help you learn more about God's plan for you, and more.

When we pray, we direct our thoughts toward God. It helps us dwell less on the dreariness of life and more on God, His power, His love, and His work in our life. And aside from turning our thoughts to God, we also let God into our minds when we pray.
